The following organisations, with the support of the IMnI, set in motion the process of forming the Mn Consortium with the purpose of complying jointly with the requirements of the REACH Regulation in a cost effective and timely way. There were 12 founding members with new members joining the consortium from January 2008. By 2010 Mn Consortium membership had grown to 42, but nearly 10 years on this has reduced to 33, with bankruptcy, acquisitions, and withdrawal from the EU market being among the business reasons for the decline.
