MARA Launches A Biweekly WEBINAR AIMED AT ADDRESSING CONCERNS RAISED IN THE ASSESSMENT OF REGULATORY NEEDS AND RESTRICTION ROADMAP REPORT
 ALL INORGANIC MANGANESE EU REACH REGISTRANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICPATE

The Assessment of Regulatory Needs for simple manganese compounds (ECHA 7 December 2021) and the Commission’s restriction road map (25 April 2022) raised concerns within the manganese industry- an industry that was already addressing several compliance check concerns raised by the ECHA.

To understand the present regulatory status of Mn-based substances as well as address the concerns from both reports, the Manganese Consortium organised the Manganese Conference in September 2023 – the entire Mn industry was invited.

The outcome of the conference formed the backbone of the 2024 strategic workplan which triggered a call for funding memo published in November 2023.

 As the authorities continue to work on their reports, new information has come to light.  CLH and/or restriction as highlighted in the reports should be addressed by industry earlier rather than later – Industry must be proactive and must work together.

To this end, the Manganese Consortium is organising a webinar to bring all Mn players on board. The webinar will be bi-weekly and run for two weeks.
